CAM's CT Harness Taping Machine has undergone a modernization. Like with our coil taping equipment the development of industrial servo drives has greatly improved the operation of our harness taping machines. In the past the choice was clutch driven continuous running motors or the old noisy DC motors. The new systems use high torque servos which are extremely quiet and have excellent low speed torque giving unmatched control during operation.

Calculating Savings When wire harness manufacturers are looking to save time and money in their production, an often overlooked area to gain productivity is their method of taping. We ask our customers what do they need in a Custom Taping Solution to help them save? To develop their solution they answer questions such as: •What do you need to tape? •What is the diameter of the item? •How many pieces do you tape? •What type of tape do you use? •How fast do you want to tape? We have also developed a calculator aimed at helping our customers see how much time they will save when they automate their spiral taping: We'd love to help you with a custom solution.
